SAS – SWISS ALUMNI SWIMMING SAS was founded in 2009. As a member of the Swiss Swimming Federation, SAS defines its objectives within and around the sport of swimming. However, the goals and purpose of SAS deviate from those of the classical swimming associations: SAS was initiated by masters swimmers with a performance record within the SSCHV and national teams of Swiss Swimming and – today – with a solid anchorage in economics and society. SAS sees itself as a vehicle for special projects for Swiss Swimming, for institutions and companies that remain close to the sport of swimming. This means particularly the promotion of competitive swimming on a 'masters' level, the support and promotion of Swiss Swimming's offspring and the care of a friendly network within and around the sport of swimming.
